MYO Guide

Create a Plottie in just 5 Easy Steps!

Designing your own Plottie is easier than you think!

Browse through the tabs below to learn how to do it!

Step 1: Pick A Plant!

  • Choosing your Plottie's plant is the most important part of the process, since this will essentially become their identity.
  • You can pick any plant in the world (except Irises), as long as it is a real plant that actually exists.

  • Some useful sites for finding cool plants:

Iris flowers are off-limits as they are the royals in the Plottie world. They need a special slot.

Step 2: Determine the Subspecies!

Now that your plant is chosen it's time to figure out your Plottie's subspecies!
This will help you determine their pupil shape, leaf mark location and even some aspects of their anatomy.

Step 3: Look for Special Features!

  • Check for traits and features that make the plant you picked unique: Interesting patterns, toxicity, funky smells, spikes or barbs, special properties or any other characteristic that they're particularly known for that could affect the Plottie's traits.

  • Pay attention to required subspecies traits or plant-specific traits.
Example: A plant that is known to be poisonous will need the "Toxic" trait, a Tillie is required to have a tail, etc.

Step 4: Design Away!

  • Design to your heart's content! Now that you know the traits your Plottie will need according to the plant you chose, you can go crazy with the rest!

  • If you have any questions or are unsure about anything, feel free to make a post in our MYO Help forum or send a message into the Query Pond in our Discord Server (recommended for a faster response).

Step 5: Get your MYO Approved!

Please skip this step if you're designing for a MYO Event.

Once your design is finished please open a ticket in our Approvals Center.
Fill in the form with all the information about your new Plottie and include their image on a transparent background.

At the time being we only approve characters in our Discord Server.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using Algae or Fungi: Algae and Fungi are NOT plants. You can make Plant/Algae and Plant/Fungi fusions with an Epic trait.
  • Using coral: While some corals resemble plants, they are in fact animals and can't be used to make a Plottie.
  • Drawing two leaf marks: All Plottie subspecies have one single leafmark with the exception of Tillies.
  • Toes and noses: Plotties don't have them.
  • Breasts or belly buttons: Plotties are not mammals so they don't have any of these.
